New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center
Interactive Exhibit

Problem: Design a permanent, interactive entry exhibit for the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center that celebrates New Orleans' 300-year history and engages the Center's 750,000 annual visitors.

Solution: Created a 14' x 28' interactive video wall with depth camera detection and touchscreen interface. Developed the UX motion design for exploring 175 historical events and destinations through archival imagery, maps, and text. The custom software included a content management system enabling updates as the city's history continues to unfold.

My impact: Established the comprehensive motion design system for the entire user journey, from attract states to interactive elements. Collaborated with Cinder developers to implement a "near time" render engine that seamlessly integrated After Effects animations with the CMS updates.

My role: Led motion design for all interactive components, including:

  • UI animations and event flow

  • Attract states and centerpiece elements

  • Typography system and timeline animations

  • Touch-responsive interface elements
